A Southern Yankee is a 1948 American comedy film, directed by Edward Sedgwick. It starred Red Skelton and Arlene Dahl. A semi-remake of Buster Keaton's The General, Skelton plays a Union soldier who spies for the Confederacy during the American Civil War.
