Battery "D" was mustered into service at Cairo, Illinois on July 30, 1861.
The battery was mustered out on July 28, 1865. [1]
Total strength and casualties[]
The battery lost 1 officer and 7 enlisted men who were killed in action or who died of their wounds and 28 enlisted men who died of disease, for a total of 36 fatalities.[2]
