Hi, welcome to Civil War Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the American Civil War page.
If you need help, and there are no local admins here, you may want to visit the forums on the Community Central Wiki. You can also check our Staff blog to keep up-to-date with the latest news and events around Wikia.
The Wikipedia has a category for all of its American Civil War articles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_Civil_War If you go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Export and enter in that category at the top in the search bar, it'll add all of those articles for you to export to your hard drive. You can then import them to this wiki. See the left menu, and click special pages, and then look for the import option. That'll help you get started. Good luck. Dream Focus 04:15, July 17, 2010 (UTC)

I just found out recently about http://civilwar.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WantedTemplates which shows broken templates and how many articles link to them. Got just a few that over a hundred articles link to, that the only ones probably worth bothering with. You might want to import them from Wikipedia sometime. Anyway, I was thinking that if you wanted more people to get to your wikia, you need to Google around for Civil War forums, where people interested in this hang out. I remember when I was much younger, there was a kid I was friends with who had little Civil War toys and was totally into recreating battlefields with his father. Just a thought. They have Civil War reenactments in my town, as well as many other places, so you can always look around for people that do that, they really into the Civil War and likely to want to contribute to the wikia. Have an article made listing all Civil War reenactment groups perhaps, encouraging them to write information about themselves just to get them started. Dream Focus 06:36, November 2, 2010 (UTC)
